You Catch More Flies With Honey Than With Vinegar. Or, How We Are Influenced By Our Perceptions Of Others.

I have been thinking about an article in Bloomberg News titled, "Online 'Likes' Herd Others To Similar Views, Study Finds," which discusses how Positive opinions of others in social media create a positive 'herding effect' or cycle of reinforcement. Positive 'Likes' create more favorable opinions than negative ones, and people tend "to jump on the bandwagon," which aligns with our work at MOST of Us. It also reminds me of the Science of the Positive and both Core principle #3 – Be Perceptive and Core Principle #1 - Be Positive.  The fact is, we really are social beings, and we are influenced by our perceptions of others, especially the Positive perceptions and opinions. I would like to hear your thoughts on this as well though, so please leave your comments here, and thank you in advance for engaging in this dialogue with me.
